Annealing is based on heating steel to a set transformation temperature followed by gradual cooling which is sufficient to establish in advance the pre-defined properties in the metallic mass. Annealing also involves:

  • Softening of the material, lowering the hardness of the steel;
  • improvement in the uniformity;
  • increase in malleability;
  • elimination of internal tensions;
  • elimination of the solidification structure;
  • elimination of the effects of soldering and the plastic deformation of heat treatment.
